Emma Walton HamiltonEMMA WALTON HAMILTON is a best-selling children’s book author, editor, educator and theatre arts professional. In partnership with her mother, Julie Andrews, Emma has co-authored and published 16 books for children and young adults, four of which have been on the NY Times Bestseller list, including "Dumpy the Dump Truck," "Simeon's Gift," "The Great American Mousical" and "Thanks to You: Wisdom from Mother and Child" (#1 NY Times Bestseller). Since 2000, Emma has been Editorial Director of the Julie Andrews Collection publishing program, where she has shepherded dozens of children's books from idea to publication.

One of the founders of Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor, NY, Emma served as co-Artistic Director for thirteen years before focusing her energies on youth programming, education and writing. She was Bay Street's Director of Education and Programming for Young Audiences for eight years, heading up the Theatre's comprehensive educational outreach as well as Kidstreet, the acclaimed program for young audiences. She continues to act as Education Consultant for the Theatre.

Emma also works as a freelance children's book editor, providing manuscript evaluations and line-editing services for aspiring and established children's book authors. She is an active arts and literacy advocate, speaking to groups across the country on the value of, and synergy between, both issues.
